How do I care for the product?

We care for what we love.
1) Our Kapshi Kolhapuri is made out of premium leather. One must ensure to not get it wet for a prolonged period.
2) Store in a dry and well ventilated place.
3) Our leather is not chemically treated hence it tends to catch some white mold when not in use for a while. This is actually a good sign proving that the leather used is good quality and naturally treated. Nothing to worry here. You can gently brush it off and you are good to go.
4) Oiling your Kolhapuri once in a month is a must. This keeps the leather soft and ensures prolonged shelf life. Coconut oil works the best.

Can I return or exchange my order?

As each pair is custom handcrafted to fit your feet, we do not consider requests for returns or refunds. A return/replacement will be considered only in the case of damaged goods, at the sole discretion of the business.

A Story Sewn in Leather

Kolhapuri chappals originated from the district of Kolhapur in Maharashtra, a region known for its fierce cultural pride and refined leather traditions. Within Kolhapur lies the village of Kapshi — a quiet hub of chappal-makers who still use techniques passed down through generations.

These craftsmen use no thread — instead, they stitch with fine strands of leather. Every veni (stamp), every cut, and every edge is shaped by hand.

Studio Kabir collaborates directly with these artisans, not only to preserve their skill but to ensure fair compensation and ethical production.

What you wear on your feet should have meaning. And that meaning should go back generations.
